If you’ve never been to the Health Museum of Houston before, this is the time to go. A relatively small building jam-packed with fun and interactive displays to learn about our bodies, our minds, and- you guessed it- our health. This place is perfect for kids AND adults… just imagine the type of contests you can have by locking yourself in the screaming chamber and trying to out-do your friend’s decibel level…
But lets FOCUS! For the last couple of months, they have been displaying an exhibit aptly titled “Fear: Face it”. The Health Museum, with collaboration from the John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science, have put together a display that is sure to help you learn more about our bodies’ responses to fear, why it happens and what it does to us.
You will also get to (probably reluctantly) put yourself in situations like the Final 48 Crime Solving lab and the Grossology Lab… completely hands on experiences that will definitely leave a lasting impression.
If you think you can handle more, they have also set up a Fear Simulation area so you can really test it out.
The cost for this amazing experience: Only $7 for kids/seniors and $9 for adults. Entrance fee covers all of the exhibits. If you are pinching pennies this month (ummm thank you, Christmas), try checking it out on a Thursday where you can bring the whole family in for absolutely FREE.
But don’t wait to much longer, the exhibit will only last until January 16th.
Museum Hours are
